As if I'm not busy enough...adding back some freelance design work due to lovely State of CA budget/Rome is Burning. Figured that I need to have a plan b to assist plan a. Also, don't want to quit law school because of finances. Hence, my purchasing Adobe Master Suite Collection to my little toolbox...

One can still get a sunburn when its foggy. Who knew. Spent a wonderful day with a friend in SF and enjoyed the hell out of myself while there. Sure, I'm sunburnt and a little tender from it but will survive. Friday was about the coolest day of the weekend...

Answers to my flippant comment of "these definitions are brutal to memorize" are not:Walk away for a while. (master of proscratination here...I'd walk away until the night before the quiz or the day of and throw the quiz if I walked away for "a while"...

Registered yesterday for summer class and got the lowdown on sport of Personal Property Law. I'll be busy and slammed...normal for law. Super happy to be back in the swing of class. Good to have my routine back in full force.I'm sitting out on the back patio (Woot to summer studying - OUTSIDE!) with the book, notecards for which to write definitions, pens and paper, and the obvious laptop...

My cousin, who had Marfan Syndrome, lost his battle this week and died. He was my sister's age and incredibly smart. Most of his life, he'd been sick and we knew this day was going to arrive at some point and it did. Life was touch and go most of the time and it was never easy when he got sick...

If I am told "professors have four weeks in which to post grades" I fully expect said grades to appear magically at the agreed upon location (mailboxes) in said timeframe...

Shadowing a Public Defender

Day off and I hauled out of bed at Oh-Dark-Thirty to shadow a public defender. It was, by far, a huge success and learning experience for me. Shadowing someone who works in Crim Def provides such an eye opening view of how the law actually works and how it doesn't work is pretty impressive to this green 1L...

Knee hurts since I overdid my little competition of 15.47 mi cycled in 60 minutes. I took last night off to let it rest and heal. Today its still sore but doesn't result in my yelping when I straighten and tighten it up. Ice, rest, and tlc were the order of the rest...
