ADVERTISEMENTS
Rather I provide an interesting twist on some law defs to keep some smiles v. the crap that puts us all to sleep and makes us wish for Root Canals. Please indulge me as I am in personal property definition hell and full of wine at the moment. Liberal definitions at hand:Common Law - living with someone until folks assume you are married or have given up hope of attending said wedding.Ferae Naturae - Feral fox coats.Animus Revertendi - Reverting animuses? Huh?Chattel - Cows.Conversion - Points acquired in a basketball game after the opposition steals the ball.Finder - AKA...Keeper. Opposite of Loser/Weeper.Trespass di bonis asportasis - trespassing on Italian words.Lost Chattel - SunglassesMislaid Chattel - Car KeysAbandoned Chattel - Storage Units full of crap of which you've no idea the contents.Treasure Trove - Something found at the Pirates of the Carribean ride in Disneyland.Testator - owner of testicles.Intervivos gift - something you take to a baby shower.Voluntary bailee - neighbor who signs for your UPS from the shopping networks and steals it from you.Bailor - UPSBailment - Case of wine that UPS delivers and the neighbor drinks.Involuntary bailee - parents whose children bring home kittens under oath they'll care for them and end up feeding/cleaning after them whilst said children (owner/possessor) ignores them or dresses them in humiliating doll clothes.
Yeah, I think I've done enough damage here.
