I got a notice in the mail today that I've been randomly selected as a potential juror in the United States District Court. Maybe I wouldn't be so annoyed if this wasn't the third time since living in the Big City I've gotten jury duty. I have only lived here for three years...

Well other than this: Appalling.As I've less than a month left as a clerk at BPLF (Which, um, maybe I'm coming back to? But maybe I'm not?) I'm wondering what the exit protocol is, considering more than likely I won't have any answers on that situation...

Last night was my last night class ever. And it was going well until the police came in and said we had to evacuate the building immediately.Note to all jokers out there: Bomb threats on schools are taken very seriously.And so I left and took a cab home with the lovely Legal Lucy where we discussed the awesomeness that is not knowing what exactly we are doing upon graduation...

I've worked 30.3 hours past my normal 30-hour a work week schedule in the past 7 days. I was out of town for two of them. And I still made it to one of my classes this week.The. End.(Um but this 2" trial brief? With six attachments? Is going to cause opposing counsel to freak...

I was supposed to work for two hours today & then go to school.I'm approaching hour twelve in the office. I ate lunch & dinner at my desk. And my head still hurts.The sweet sweet smell of overtime, I mean, success. Or sleep deprivation. One of the above.

I'm fairly certain this horrific splitting headache (complete with nausea, photophobia, and dizziness) is the exact same thing our client (in the current trial) died of.That or a sympathetic manifestation of the same symptoms.But I'm going with an intra-cranial brain bleed because oh man it hurts...

If you are ever going to trial, I would highly recommend you "google" all the parties to the case as well as any expert witness you or the other side have proffered.Because you might just hit paydirt. It might be inadmissible paydirt, but it might also add the perfect fuel to the fire to make you remember why you do this...

A few weeks ago when Eddie & HASWOE came to visit, Eddie gave me a parting gift: a mushy stress ball in the shape of a heart. It is red and covered in the logo of some company...highly scientific description I'm sure. Anyway, BISMOW and I think that this mushy heart is quite funny and BISMOW threatened to hide it where I would least expect it, so the mushy heart would jump out and scare me...

Starbucks had new cups today and I almost died, right there on the spot. We all know how I feel about Starbucks Red Cups, so any change in the cups is something I need some advanced warning on. Then, right before I died there on the spot I had to pull it together and ask the Barista to please give me a new-new cup because he had just sloshed half my drink down the side of the one he was about to hand me...

Scarlett, PAG and myself just finished breakfast on a balcony overlooking the ocean. It was divine. Not so divine: the raging hangovers AND my horrific sunburn on a patch of my right knee and my left bicep. Note to self: if you are going to wear SPF 70 for your fair fair skin, it works best in an even application...

I am here. Hilarity ensues. Yadda. Yadda. Yadda.Ooh, but on a slightly cheerier note, I am going on vaaacaaation tomorrow morning. Even though I'm not thrilled that someone, ahem, PAG, booked us on the earliest butt-crack of dawn flight EVER out of the Big City I am excited for some sun (haha pasty white opaque self get ready for some suuunscreen!) and some relaxation, and truth be told, BISMOW is excited to watch the Red Wings games in perfect silence and peace back in the Big City...
