: Legally Blonde AmbitionButt Paste & DQ
By "Daisy Duke"
The scene is as follows:
Dairy Queen, somewhere on the route from Big City to Big City. Easter Sunday, the roads are filled with people heading home and thus, Dairy Queen appears to be a popular late afternoon snack stop. BISMOW and I stopped to stretch our legs and share an ice cream before continuing on our way.
The situation:
Well we walked into DQ to find a woman changing her baby's diaper on the table. Smearing diaper cream a/k/a butt paste on her toddler's bum. The toddler was actually named Sidney. After BISMOW and I got a large eyeful of Sidney's nether regions (and learned all about her diaper rash) Sidney was re-dressed and put on the floor. Sidney immediately began climbing around on the floor and trying to num on the side of the booth, etc. Her parents were appalled- "Sidney don't touch the yucky floor!!" and the like. But, um, dear parents, didn't you just have her bare ass on the table??! I think poor Sidney was confused. And we saw a lot of butt. And diaper cream. And butt and cream on a table that the next unknowing customer was going to eat on.
Now I realize that when a diaper's gotta go, its gotta go. And I realize a restroom without a changing table or counter presents problems. But couldn't they have at least put some napkins down? Kept Sidney's diaper rashy bum off the table that is used for eating?? Or wiped the table off after? Or, I don't know used the front seat of their car??
Maybe I'm crazy but I don't think I should be exposed to butt paste & dirty diapers upon walking into an eating establishment. I also don't like it when people file their nails in public, brush their hair in a kitchen or dining area, or put their feet on a table that people eat off of.
Maybe I am OCD, but then again, maybe I'm just...sanitary.
