Michael Jordan pays former wife $168 million divorce settlement.

Los Angeles, CA: (Nov-12-07) A settlement was reached between basketball superstar Michael Jordan and ex-wife Juanita Jordan, in which the former NBA player agreed to pay his former wife an unprecedented settlement of more than $168 million. Sources confirmed that the couple split in December 2006, when Jordan, 44, and his wife Juanita, 48, balked at signing the settlement. Under the settlement, Juanita Jordan stands to receive the couple's seven-acre estate in Chicago and custody of their three children. The deal is said to be the biggest and dwarfs the most expensive celebrity divorce on public record, in which Neil Diamond paid his ex-wife Marcia Murphey $156 million. Records show that a year after their marriage in Las Vegas, Jordan signed a prenuptial agreement that entitled Juanita to half his fortune, but she has claimed only a third.
