Schering Plough, Merck Settle Cholesterol Study Probes for $5.4 Million
A multi-state investigation into Merck and Schering Plough's supposed delayed release of test results for two blockbuster cholesterol drugs has been settled. The pharmaceutical companies have agreed to pay attorneys general from 35 states and the District of Columbia, $5.4 million in consideration of allegations that the companies violated consumer protection laws.
