Job Site Fatalities on the Rise

Safety Experts Worried

Deaths in high risk jobs such as construction, and cell tower erection and maintenance are on the rise. Over the past 10 years the number of deaths from falls has increased steadily, and in 2006 set a record at 827 fatalities. Overall deaths in the workplace in 2006 totalled 5,840.

And, workplace safety experts report that 2008 has so far been a very bad year for deaths in construction.
