Stasera ho cenato con un collega molto simpatico che insegna intellectual property al King?s College (gloriosa istituzione inglese, dove ha studiato anche uno dei miei scrittori preferiti, Hanif Kureishi). Si parlava di calcio e, ad un certo punto, il discorso è finito su alcune cose relative alla proprietà intellettuale...

Ora scrivo dal treno, un po? annoiato dalla monotonia della campagna inglese?(ora sto passando da Ispwich, la città che nei primi anni ottanta riuscì ad aggiudicarsi una Coppa Uefa?quanti di voi lo ricordavano? Sì, sto invecchiando)...

In a crucial legal victory for record labels and other copyright owners, a federal jury Thursday found a Minnesota woman liable for copyright infringement for sharing music online and imposed a penalty of $222,000 in damages.
