Fairview Red Wing Health Services Lawsuit


Undisclosed settlement in medical malpractice lawsuit.


Red Wing, MN: (June-11-08) A medical malpractice lawsuit has been settled between Fairview Red Wing Health Services and Richard and Yvonne Raasch. The suit was filed by the Raaschs’ after Richard Raasch underwent an endoscopic procedure at the clinic in June 2006. The complaint alleged negligence because the doctor who treated him caused a perforation in the small intestine which required emergency surgery and hospitalization to repair. The lawsuit sought more than $50,000 in damages, however the details of the out-of-court settlement has not been made public.
