Law School Transplant, Esq.

Posted on October 26, 2007
Well, y’all, I passed the bar! After much worrying and fretting, in the end, I really had nothing to worry about.  To Anonymous Boyfriend and Anonymous Parents:  You were right.  There, I said it. Anyway, off to celebrate!  I already did my celebration dance to “Eye of the Tiger (Esq...

Talk Amongst Yourselves

The state-wide judicial clerk conference -- the perfect opportunity to play, eat and hang out with my best girlfriends. Oh, and learn how to do my job.

My Two Cents for One L?s

Posted on August 29, 2007
Believe it or not, I am good for more than just being a smartass. I actually did well my first year of law school, so I thought I’d pass on some bits of wisdom garnered from my and others’ 1L experiences. Ignore them at your own peril. Don’t ever brief a case...

Arrested Development

Posted on August 23, 2007
Due to some sort of construction project at the courthouse (which has yet to alleviate the disgusting, moldy water leak hole in my ceiling), parking in the actual courthouse parking lot is next to impossible if you don’t camp out for a spot the night before...

Posted on August 13, 2007
…exchange them for a great Pennsylvania craft brew! In trying to look on the bright side of being 2+ hours away from AB, my friends and family for a year in a city that is hotter than hell and slower than molasses, I needed to look no further than across the bridge into a neighboring state, [...

Dog Days of Summer.

Posted on August 09, 2007
I am so smart, I amaze myself sometimes.  I moved to what is quite possibly the hottest city in the state during the hottest part of the summer in the biggest heatwave in recent history.  With smarts like that, there’s no way I failed the bar. The temperature reportedly topped out at 106 degrees today...

Outline Extravaganza, Part III

Posted on November 29, 1999
Alright, y’all. This is my final installment of outlines for your slacker asses. None of these classes are on the bar exam. But, they might come in handy if you need an outline for that schedule-filler class you signed up for, but don’t want to attend...

Outline Extravaganza, Part II

Posted on November 29, 1999
As promised, here are some more outlines for all you 2L’s and 3L’s out there. These are from those not-required-yet-highly-recommended classes (read: Bar exam subjects). As you can see, I was a much less prolific outliner after first year, as I took far more classes than I actually have outlines for...
