I bought a house from a person. I have paid all bills including home owners insurance and property taxes for the past 5 years. The person is now refusing to sell and trying to say that I was renting not buying. I only have a notarized statement no other paperwork. What can I do?
Live in NC, The home is tied up in a divorce. The husband has directed his lawyer to file paperwork giving me the house with a lein on it, but the ex-wife refuses to sign and is threating to evict if we do not continue to pay her "rent".
