Better Business Bureau Warns the Public
During the past three months the Better Business Bureau (BBB) has received 265 complaints about an online ticket company called Ticketsmyway.com, run by a Las Vegas company, Events Marketing LLC.According to reports from the BBB, the complaints arise largely after people have charged their credits cards for tickets and not received them; they receive their tickets after the event has taken place; or they receive tickets for different seats than the ones they paid for. While the ticket company says it addresses the majority of claims, a BBB reliability report states that the company has not responded to either the BBB or the consumer in 194 of the 256 cases.
One customer reportedly disputed the charge for the tickets with her credit card company, when she did not receive the tickets she'd paid for, and was reimbursed on her card. The amount was several hundred dollars. However, shortly afterwards she received an email from the ticket company asking that she pay for the tickets, plus a termination fee, plus a penalty fee. As the company threatened to take her to court, she paid a fee to settle the matter out of court. She never did receive the tickets.
