Oklahoma Bacterial Outbreak Leaves One Person Dead, 14 Hospitalized

Bacteria Could Be E. Coli

A possible outbreak of E. Coli has left 14 hospitalized and one dead in Oklahoma this week. The Oklahoma State Department of Health also reports that another 20 possible cases of bacterial poisoning are under investigation.

Results from an early investigation suggest that many of the people who have become sick ate or visited the Country Cottage restaurant in Locust Grove. However, the restaurant has not been firmly identified as the source of the outbreak.

According to health department officials, the illnesses reported are very severe.
