Ford Motor Co. Lawsuit

alleging diesel ambulances are defective.

Ford Motor Co.

A class action lawsuit has been filed against the auto manufacturer alleging diesel ambulances are defective. Fire departments across the United States have been experiencing engine problems such as blown gaskets, radiator hoses, and sensors. Various departments have spent tens of thousands of dollars repairing and fixing the rigs each year. The lawsuit was filed in Federal Court in Texas against Ford Motor Co.

Fire departments have had to resort to using back up ambulances and borrow non-Ford ambulances from other departments while their Ford rigs were in the shop. The Ford six liter trucks were manufactured between 2004 and 2006, and their warranties will be up at the end of 2008.
