Modeling photos obtained from photographer TFCD, what right does the photographer have to the use of them?

A photogrpaher took photos for me (TFCD). TFCD means the photographer doesn't charge you for the session but provides pics on a CD for you to keep for a portfolio. I signed a release form, which is typically when models do TFCD. This allowa the photographer to use some of the pics for expanding his own portfolio (in an assumed professional manner). But, my photographer took the photos (of particular body parts and posted them on a bad site). His explaination their are worse photographers out there and I should count myself as lucky.
