Should am employer continue direct discussions with a terminated employee once they retain an attorney?


A terminated employee has called me concerning her disagreement with her termination. She has said that she now has an attorney. Once a terminated employee says that, can I tell them further discussion must be through that attorney? Or is this asking for more trouble? We have said that in the past. It seems to halt further phone calls from employees who are extremely angry with the fact they were terminated.
