Am I obligated to pay on a home equity line of credit that has been discharged through chapter 7?
I live in Ohio, and I purchased a home at 100% LTV with two intrest only loans. The 1st is 80% LTV and the 2nd is an eqity line of credit at 20% LTV. I filed a chapter 7 and I did not reafirm either debt, but I still pay both each month and have never been late on either. The 2nd is reporting me as discharged through chapter 7 on my credit reports, and are not reporting my timely payments to the credit bureaus. Are equity lines of credit the same as equity loans? and am I obligated to pay on this equity line of credit since it is discharged?
