Why You Should Attend ABA TECHSHOW -- Part 4

ADVERTISEMENTS
As we get closer to the Early Bird deadline for ABA TECHSHOW, I'm counting some of the reasons to attend this terrific legal technology conference. Today, we'll talk about new and fun stuff. Just because you're attending an educational technology conference doesn't mean you can't also have a little fun, and get to make some new friends in the process. Here are just a few of the new and fun things you'll find at ABA TECHSHOW 2008: -- First, the venue. This year ABA TECHSHOW will be located at the fabulous Hilton Chicago, which is truly a grand old hotel. The Grand Ballroom will be the scene of several of our plenary sessions as well as our social events, and we think you'll really love it. -- On Thursday night, we'll be hosting ABA TECHSHOW After Dark, a social event for our attendees to meet the speakers, vendors, and each other. Our St. Patrick-themed party will feature food, drinks, and a live band. This is a great way to unwind after what will likely be an action-packed first day! -- On Friday night, we're bringing back the very popular Taste of ABA TECHSHOW dinners. We've made reservations at 10-15 restaurants around Chicago, and some of our current and past ABA TECHSHOW speakers will be hosting dutch treat dinners at each of them. Even better, each dinner has a featured technology theme, chosen by the host. These dinners are great ways to meet fellow attendees, speak with legal technology experts, and enjoy a great meal in the process. Make sure you sign up quick, because these dinners fill up fast! -- Instead of our traditional Friday box lunch, we'll be hosting a special luncheon in the Grand Ballroom, for the purpose of awarding the James I. Keane Memorial Award. The award is named for the late Jim Keane, a legal technology legend and the founding chair of the ABA eLawyering Task Force. It will be given to a lawyer, law office or legal organization that provides innovative legal services over the Internet to moderate income individuals and the broad middle class. -- This last fun event we can't take credit for, but we can certainly pass along the fun to you! Immediately after our "60 Sites in 60 Minutes" session on Saturday, the famous Chicago St. Patrick's Day Parade begins, literally outside the doors of the Hilton Chicago! The Chicago River (as well as the beer) will flow green, so be sure to take advantage of this fun event. The Early Bird deadline is February 1 -- next Friday! Make sure you get over to the ABA TECHSHOW website before then and register!
