At 10 a.m., the Court may release one or more opinions in pending cases. We will provide coverage of any developments.
Following the release of any opinions, the Court will hear argument in Puckett v. United States (07-9712), involving claims over the government breach of a plea agreement. Lars R. Isaacson, of Lewisville, Texas, will argue for the petitioner, and Lisa H. Schertler of the Solicitor General’s office will argue for the respondent.
At 11 a.m., the Court will hear argument in Boyle v. United States (07-1309), involving the proof required to show an enterprise under the RICO anti-racketeering law. Marc Fernich of New York, N.Y., will argue for the petitioner, and Anthony Yang of the Solicitor General’s office will argue for the respondent.
In the afternoon, members of the Court will hold a private meeting in the West Conference Room with President-elect Obama and Vice President-elect Biden.
