In defense of Ed Hochuli

Alright, before people start calling for Ed Hochuli's head on a plate, let me just have a second.At full speed, I thought it was a fumble, too. They reviewed the play, he saw he was wrong, but his hands were completely tied by the rule and he couldn't overturn himself.The rule is stupid, Ed Hochuli is not. Now, I feel for San Diego fans. It has been a tough two weeks with some painful losses. Yes, you got robbed. But the rule book, not Hochuli, robbed you. Hochuli is one of the finest officials in the game. He made a mistake, which many if not most others would also have done in the split second it took the play to run. The rule should change, and people should get off Ed. He is by far my fav referee with the biggest, meanest looking guns of any of the zebras - AND he's an attorney! Well Mike Carey is the shit as well, and ripped as all hell, too...continue to full post
