Linkstreaming
Posted on July 27, 2009I've been thinking a lot lately about the ways I want to provide information to others on the Internet. First and probably most important is this blog; it's horribly outdated, and in desperate need of a makeover. That will be remedied soon -- I'll be working on a blog redesign over the next few months. (In the meantime, anyone have recommendations for someone who can convert a MySQL database?) For now, I'll be doing something a little bit easier, but I hope you'll think it's pretty cool. I'm taking a page directly from Steve Rubel (and when I say directly, I mean directly). I'm pleased to announce the debut of the Tom Mighell Linkstream, a collection of links on legal technology, e-Discovery, social media, and the Internet. Every day I'll be sharing the links and stories that I find on each of these topics -- you can give a thumbs up or down to each story, to show which ones you like best...

Blawg of the Day -- Practical Paralegalism

A Portal to the AmLaw 100
Posted on July 13, 2009I'm a couple of weeks behind on this one, so I'll let Greg Lambert at 3 Geeks and a Law Blog do most of the talking. He was one of the first to mention the new site myCorporateResource.com, a site designed to provide corporate types with the latest in legal and commercial information from AmLaw 100 law firms. But even if you're not a corporate type, you can still take advantage of this site, which is free to use. You can consume information in a variety of ways, which are laid out on the home page. Each member of the "Corporate Team" has its own portal - for the Board, C-Suite, Legal Team, HR, and more. Interestingly, there's no page here for the CIO or other similar technology position. Nonetheless, the information aggregated here is tremendous -- alerts, memos, and briefings from major law firms all over the country, as well as over 70 RSS feeds sorted by Industry, Professional Role, Areas of Law and Geography...

Blawg of the Day -- Owners, Borrowers, & Thieves 2.0
Posted on July 09, 2009The blog Owners, Borrowers & Thieves 2.0 brings to mind the Cher song of the 70's, but you won't likely find gypsies or tramps here -- instead, you'll find a bunch of intellectual property litigators blogging about IP ownership, use and enforcment in the 21st Century. It's brought to you by Pete Salsich III, Geoff Gerber, and Dave Rein, of the St. Louis firm of Husch Blackwell Sanders. Great stuff!
