I flew to my future hometown (Chicago) with my husband last week and found a nice, new place to live. It would have been impossible to pick a place to live using only Internet postings. I am very glad we drove all over this huge town and figured out commute times, crime rates, etc., before putting a deposit down. But let me just remind all of you out there with a dog who is on a "restricted breed" list, your rental options will be substantially limited in most big cities. It is very hard finding a rental community that allows german shepherds! Since returning from Chicago, both my husband and I are very excited to live there. We love sports and cannot wait to attend the various sporting events this city has to offer! Plus, we will not be that far from Green Bay. Which means I will be hitting up my family for the use of their Packer season tickets!
Upon returning to SLC, we met with our realtor and some painters. Apparently, the interior color of our house is too "ugly" to sell. Whatever! So we have endured moving all of our stuff in to the garage, so that the painters can paint our house a weird tannish color, complete with glaringly white crown molding and trim.
Other than house hunting, painting, and the occasional outlining, nothing too exciting going on here. All I know is that I cannot wait to graduate and start working!
