Frank McCourt must pay ex-wife Jamie $637,000, fate of Dodgers to be determined later

Last Friday Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon ordered Dodgers owner Frank McCourt to pay his estranged wife Jamie $637,000 a month in temporary spousal support and mortgage payments.

The AP reports that Gordon's 55-page ruling says that Jamie McCourt will receive $225,000 a month in spousal support and $412,159 a month in mortgage payments for six homes and a condominium. Jamie McCourt had been seeking nearly $1 million a month; her husband had offered her $150,000.

A trial has been set in late August on the larger issue of whether the Dodgers are community property. Jamie McCourt claims she is co-owner, while Frank McCourt says he's the sole owner due to a marital agreement.
