Laceration Hazard Prompts Starbucks To Recall Water Bottles

By Chrissie Cole

ADVERTISEMENTS

Starbucks, in cooperation with the CPSC and Health Canada, announced a recall of Glass Water Bottles because they can shatter, posing a laceration hazard.

The recall involves 11,000 water bottles in the U.S. and 1,200 in Canada.

To date, Starbucks has received ten reports of the water bottles shattering, including eight reports of hand lacerations.

Glass bottles with SKU Number 11003503 are involved in the recall. They were nationwide sold at Starbucks company-operated stores and Starbucks locations in Target and Safeway Stores.

Consumers should stop using the recalled glass water bottles and return them to the Starbucks location they were purchased for a refund. Upon return of the recalled bottles, Starbucks is offering a complimentary beverage, of any size.

Call (877) 492-6333, or visit www.Starbucks.com for more information.
