The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a recall today of approximately 61,000 Wal-Mart candle holders because the products can tip over, posing a fire hazard. Also, the glass holder could break, posing a laceration hazard to consumers.
This Wal-Mart recall involves three Holiday Times candle holders shaped as a Santa Claus, a snowman, and a goblet. The goblet is made of glass. A tea light candle sits inside the holders. ?Holiday Times? is printed on the product hang tag.
The recalled Wal-Mart candle holders were sold at stores nationwide from September 2007 through February 2008 for between $13 and $17.
Consumers should stop using the recalled Wal-Mart candle holders immediately, and may return them for a full refund. They may also contact Wal-Mart at 1-800-925-6278 or visit the company?s Web site.
