: Chris King's 1st Amendment PageKingCast probes a potential conflict of interest in North Country with State Rep/Police Chief John Tholl, HB 1428 and new police abuse.
By Christopher King

Let's assume arguendo that there was another case of police abuse in the North Country. Let's further assume that you, as a victim of police abuse have no criminal past with the law; let's assume you're a well-established 40-something professional known by most police to be of sound, mind body and spirit, kind of like Ms. B was before she dealt with Bruce McKay's penis-shaped knife and wrote her unanswered 13-page complaint.Next let's assume that a rogue cop hassles you and puts you in cuffs for no lawful reason and you actually sustain palpable injury. You know, the kind of injuries that show up in pictures for a Jury to see. See Gray v. Horton, 2008 U.S. Dist. Lexis 4194 (S.D. La January 18, 2008)
Then you want to go to your State Representative and your Chief of Police, only to discover that said Representative and Chief of Police are one in the same, hypothetically John Tholl, and that said Representative/Police Chief co-sponsored the ill-founded HB 1428 to honor another abusive cop despite the wishes of most the the local citizens. For Thall on HB 201 and 214 read the comments.
Well then you would feel trapped, and then you would turn to KingCast for help to expose the situation and to track it while you get yourself local counsel not afraid to fight for Justice. All hypothetical, mind you.
But don't look to Kelly Ayotte to do too much about it because she's the very one who lied to KingCast and said her office didn't have a copy of Ms. B's compaint, which I knew was a lie because Ms. B told me all about it, and lo and behold, the town of Franconia even had a cc copy of it.
What to do, what to say.....
Oh wait, there's more: Let's say they hypothetically charge you with resisting arrest. Well I don't know about New Hampshire, but my buddy Reg proved in Ohio that you can resist an unlawful arrest, see State v. Sansalone, 71 Ohio App. 3d (1991). Guess you can't do that in New Hampshire; you just have to take it in the "Live Free or Die" State. And the kicker? Reg even told the guy "You're a real asshole....."
