Madoff Family Gives Bronx Cheer to Southern District Prosecutor

I've been real cordial about all of this, and I've been very cooperative with all of the nice government and SEC people that have been asking questions. Just ask them! If I can remember, I've been telling.

Now this silly federal prosecutor, someone I've been very nice to, all of a sudden decides that he should be crying to the judge saying that I'm a flight risk and that I should be put behind bars?? Two weeks after we had an understanding?? And his reasoning is that I gave some gifts to my wonderful children? BEFORE my assets were frozen.

1. I haven't even been indicted for anything.

2. There's no law against giving gifts to your children. They were f--king trinkets...some of the watches I've collected and some of Ruth's necklaces. So what if they watches are worth more than $50k each?? Its not like they work so good, they're show pieces!

But that's not the point--the prosecutor is saying that I violated the terms of the asset freeze. My assets weren't frozen when Ruth sent those gifts to my kids! Check the f--king postage stamp! So I didn't violate anything!..

Where did this prosecutor come from? The OJ Simpson murder trial??

A bunch of news media talking heads start whining and saying stupid things like "How come he's not in jail?? wa wa wa.." so the Prosecutor gets a call from his boss and says "Gee, the press is getting tough, you better do something!"

Listen mister prosecutor, that guy Gonzalez isn't the US Attorney General anymore for a reason. And this isn't Russia. Little things like forgetting about what's legal and what isn't legal are things that prosecutors seem to forget about..which means you might be like everyone else...Do you have any idea what you're doing?? Do you have any idea the type of resources that I have. Christ, Ira's law clerk can put you to shame.

Sure, you're under a lot of pressure. Everybody is. Its the times. But when you start throwing out the constitution, that's when this country goes to shit faster than anything that I MIGHT have done.
