New Refugee Notification Procedures (Calgary)

In the course of attending with my client to make notification for a refugee claim, I learned of a change in procedure. The change in procedure emphasizes the provision of information and documents up front, and should address a situation where a refugee made notification, but was provided an eligibility date some months later - resulting in substantial hardship in obtaining a work permit and health coverage.
