: Information OverloadNHS gets a date?
By scott
Bet the folks at match.com were surprised this morning to find that they were teaming up with the national health service (NHS) I know I certainly was. But, what else could the press release title - ‘Match.com’ for NHS and suppliers launched - mean? Sadly, it seems the online dating site is not actually helping the NHS, although it seems the government have no problem helping themselves to the sites url for the purpose of their press release. What is actually happening is that a new online advertising service is being launched (1 October) called Supply2Health which will help ‘hook up’ NHS providers with healthcare suppliers, and make it easier for Primary Care Trust (PCT) commissioners to advertise health and social care services they require and for suppliers to identify business opportunities within the NHS.
Update: Thanks to Andrew who pointed out that the title of the press release has now been changed.
