More election matters filed with the Nevada Supreme Court

ADVERTISEMENTS
It's pretty tough to keep track of all of the writs and appeals pending before the Nevada Supreme Court concerning the 2008 election. Most of them are listed on the Court's High Profile Cases page and links are provided to the documents filed in those proceedings. New filings include a challenge by Family Court candidate Maria Maskall to the candidacy of her opponent Brigid Duffy. Maskall contends that Duffy is not qualified to be a candidate for district court judge because she will not have been a licensed and admitted attorney for 10 years prior to the election (as opposed to the date that she was take office if elected). There is also a challenge to the candidacy of Senator William Raggio based upon term limits.
