Patent Attorney ? Large Corporation - Northern Va.

U.S. division of multi-national manufacturer of high tech products seeks in-house patent counsel to organize, monitor and coordinate its intellectual property, especially patents, copyrights and trademarks. Technology spans electrical, electronics, software, mechanical systems, materials engineering, control systems, document handling, and communications.

Requirements:
Background experience and education should include engineering degree in electrical or mechanical field; law degree from accredited law school; 1-4 years experience in corporate, private or firm patent practice or as U.S. patent examiner. Preferably the candidate will be a member of the Virginia bar; possess solid experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications, conducting product clearance reviews, conducting patent validity and infringement analyses, and have some exposure to patent litigation and/or licensing activities.

Good communication skills will be essential. Competitive salary and benefits.
