How to protect yourself if you co-sign for a car loan on behalf of a relative?


I agreed to cosign for a car for my brother and his wife. When I showed up to cosign I was told by the dealership that only my name could appear on the payments since their credit was so bad. I stupidly went ahead and signed with assurances from my brother. Fast forward to a couple years later and they are getting divorced. She agreed to make the payments and keep the car but recently has not made them. I've been making them to save my credit. What recourse do I have against her?
