How can a sexual harrasment case be dismissed even with evidence?

Being sexually harrassed both physically and verbally at work. I taped him without his knowledge in the State of California but was dismissed because it is the law that you cannot tape the other person without his or her acknowledgement. Therefore they would not use my taping for evidence and was dismissed. I was still sexually harrassed. I am not looking for money. I just wonder about my rights if there is such anymore and who will be the next victim? I do understand that alot of sexual harrasment goes on. When you don't want this person to touch you. He is that much more stronger and begging him to stop and wondering what is really going to happen me and what he is capable of doing to prevent his wife from finding out. It is the worst I have ever been through in my life and still is. Yet still being in America it makes me wonder, for an understatement.
