Protection from damages from Internet advertising fraud for owners of an Incorporated company?

Can a Canadian incorporated company which has no assets personally guaranteed have it's owners sued for online advertising fraud?

Wouldn't the owners be protected from a lawsuit because checks from the advertiser are made out to the name of the incorporated company and depoisted into the business account? I understand the company can be sued for it's assets but aren't the owners safe from a personal lawsuit? Couldn't the company simply file for bankruptcy if the lawsuit cannot be wonafter distributing the profits to the owners ?
