Who gets custody of children when the custodial parent dies?
My brother's ex-wife died recently. She had sole custody of the kids and her parents are keeping the kids saying he gave up his rights because he gave her sole custody. He assumed that he automatically retained custody when she died, wants to raise them, and is trying legally get them back. What can and should he do? All parites live in Louisiana.
