My roommate is trying to kick me out without notice

Well I hold a lease agreement with a long time friend of mine he is the main lease holder but I am on the lease I have never been late on any rent or utilities I am very clean and mostly keep to my self but if soemthing doesnt go his way he tried to make me leave yesterday out of no notice he tried to make me pack my belongings he took my cell phone so I could not call the police and then he got violent I left and called the police they told him about how he has to give me notice and to try to co exist then when they left he said im still moving out and he is going to the magistrated office to file an emergency eviction this is not an emergency I am losing money because I would have ot leave my job and I have no other alternatives as a place to stay what are my rights and can he make me move out tommorow? we live in the state of North Carolina
