The company I worked for forced me to quit instead of dealing with someone harassing me, what can I do?

I was being harassed daily by a woman I work with. It was all verbal harassment. I contacted my manager, his manager, his managers's manager and our HR manager. Nothing was happening. I contacted everyone multiple times and finally asked for our regional HR mangers #. My HR said she would contact him and he'd get in touch with me. I was persistant and she finally said where I could find his number. Within an hour of that happening I was called in for a meeting. I was told that I wasn't working in my position and they wanted to move me to a different area. The place they wanted me to work in did not match my availability. I told them that and they said they knew. I said they were forcing me to quit and the manager shrugged his shoulders and said he was not...that was the offer they were giving me and I could decide what to do. I could not work other hours because of my children, I reminded them of that and he said it was my choice as to what I did. I was forced to leave because I didn't have childcare for my kids except the hours I was working. After leaving the woman who had been harassing me was given my job. I don't know how what they did is legal. They did not speak to her or work anything out. I was told several times something would be done and it wasn't. They made there own solution by making me quit. Even if I was able to work other hours I still would have had to work with the woman harassing me. That didn't matter to them because they knew I couldn't accept the other position. PLEASE help and give me advice on what I can do. Thank you for your time.
