Mother left family property in stepfateher's name, Anyway to fight for it?

My mother is a home owner, but 20 years ago met a man, married him and put her house in his name as, joint tendants. He started to be mean to her and she fell sick with heart attack.Then we found out she had brain cancer.She died lately, but left a recording to take the house away from her husband,my stepfather.My dad bought her the house, but passed away in '78. I feel that her children have rights to it. Can I use the recording or what can I do?
