Divorce what will I get if all is in his families name?
Divorce Question:
My husband and I have been married since 2003. We never turned in our marriage certificate, changed my name, etc...which has me concerned, are we really married?
Also, if I was to divorce him:
The house and land are in his fathers name. Although I contributed my salary to the building of the house. He is self employed and gets paid under the table, so when he files taxes he probably only files on 10% of his actual income. If we get divorced am I entitled to anything? or will I get only what I can prove is mine since our assets are in his fathers name? Also, I wouldn't be able to prove what he makes yearly so will this cause a problem in the divorce case?
Thank you so much for any insight.
