Do I still have to pay a bill that arrived 3 years late? I bought a custom chair 3 years ago. I paid for half of the chair when I made the purchase ($450). They were going to send me a bill for the second half. I never realized that I didn't receive the bill. Last week, I received a letter from the furniture store stating that their billing person was having personal problems and neglected to send out certain bills 3 years ago. In looking through their accounts, they realized that my chair was not fully paid for. Am I still responsible for this payment 3 years later, even though they made an error?
