How to close probate if a beneficiary can not be contacted to confirm receipt of inheritance?

I have tried to contact a beneficiary in the estate of my nephew who died 4/14/04. My attorney has tried to contact this person with no response. I have left numerous messages. The original heir died a year after probate was filed and I have been trying to contact her for a full year. My attorney says the case cannot be closed until this person signs that she received her share of the estate ($3000.00) . There was no will and I only listed the original beneficiary because she was the Aunt of the deceased. How can I close the case if I can't receive any answer from this woman?
