Service Academy Day in San Angelo

I want to invite all students interested in learning more about attending a Military Academy to join me on “Academy Day” on Saturday, March 29, 2008 in San Angelo. The event will be held from 1:30 to 4:30 pm at Angelo State University in the MCS Building.

Academy Liaison Officers, ROTC Representatives, and members of my staff will be on hand to meet with prospective students and their families. The program will feature information about the nomination process involved in securing academy appointments.

Students who reside in the 11th Congressional district, and are intersted in attending one of the military academies, are encouraged to submit their applications early in their junior year of high school to Joanne in my San Angelo office. The application deadline for the Class of 2013 is October 27, 2008.-Mike
