Toyota recalls 2006 Lexus GS, IS
Fuel crack could lead to fire
On December 13, 2007, Toyota Motor North America recalled 2006 Lexus GS and 2006 Lexus IS models because high stress areas and certain chemicals in fuel may cause a crack in two fuel pipes in the engine compartment. A crack can lead to fuel leakage from the lines and, in the presence of an ignition source, could cause a fire.
Lexus dealers will replace the two fuel lines that are in the high stress areas with newly designed lines. Owners may contact Lexus at 1-800-255-3987.
