Due to the vagaries of Internet search engines it is possible that those looking for information about structured settlement payments will come up with references to disgraced New York Governor Eliot Spitzer's payments to QAT Consulting Group, a company that is alleged front for a prostitution ring. Some news reports and blogs have referred to those payments by Spitzer as "structured payments".
The unfortunate choice of words aside, Eliot Spitzer's "structured payments" have no connection to structured settlements
