ADVERTISEMENTS
It is almost Memorial Day Weekend, it is almost my birthday, Chicago (finally!) got warm and um, yeah. BISMOW & I sign the lease on our fabulous shiny new house next week. Less than 5 months to my wedding. The Red Wings lead the Blackhawks 2-0 in the Western Conference Finals. I finally figured out what Pandora station kept me going at work & frankly, I don't have much to share. Instead, lets take a poll. A survey. Story-hour.
If you could meet one "celebrity" blogger, who and why?
Mine is easy but sort of embarrassing. Truth of the matter is, I have a tie between Dooce & Amalah. I find both of them hilarious, poignant and refreshingly not-lawyers. Yeah, ok they are quintessential Mommy Bloggers and I don't have kids but you know what? They don't tell you how perfect their kids are or how they organized their child's play schedule to accommodate both Chinese lessons and piano. I appreciate their honesty & humor.
And at the other end of the spectrum, what blog do you want to quit but you can't? I won't tell you mine but I'll just say it is written by a lovely person that I hope one days shows us that she's human. That she's bounced a check or decided not to buy something because it didn't fit in the budget or that she's spilled chocolate sauce down her shirt right before something important. (Um, we've all done that, right??)
And in the same vein, what TV show did you never quit- what show did you watch from start to- finish, loving every character and plot line- no matter how long ago the rest of America gave up on it? Mine was ER- I sobbed at the end of the series finale because OhMyGod Mark Green's daughter is going to be a doctor at County General and wahhhhhhhhh. Erm. Yes I know most of America stopped watching it 8 years ago but WHATEVER. IT WAS COMPELLING TELEVISION PROGRAMMING.
Right. Anyway. Tell me.
