ADVERTISEMENTS
I have been informed my brother (along with the Namby Pamby) is very worried about having an obese child and is already researching homemade baby foods & putting the kabosh on sugary snacks. (Seeing as how Baby Z is only 3 months & exclusively on a dairy-diet old I keep telling him he needn't think about this for a few more months at least...) I also think perhaps if this is the rule it was a little cruel to send me a photo of Baby Z in an In-N-Out paper hat sitting
between his Mom & Dad as they enjoyed Double-Doubles? No?
Anyway I wanted to show you how adorable & nautical my little man is:

Moving right along from sailboat bibs to seersucker & sailboats:
In other "Life Changing Events" (as defined by my work benefits package, not me) BISMOW & I continue on with the wedding planning. Last night we were invited by Bloomingdales & Brides.com to attend a fete at our local Bloomie's Home (a retail location worth a trip to Chicago in and of itself) and it incorporated two of my favorite things:
Champagne & Le Creuset! Yum and, well, yum! There were even two Chicago wedding bloggers there, Elizabeth Anne Designs & It's A Jaime Thing. BISMOW wanted to know if I'd informed the bloggers of my ever-award winning corner of the internet but alas, I didn't feel the need to bring it up. After all, the world of LBA is known to everyone, right? (I kid, I kid.) The appetizers were delicious and I gazed lovingly at my china a little more. (Kate Spade- Library Lane & Larabee Road chargers & dessert plates for those curious... I think the polka dots add a touch of whimsy, no?)However we must move along from babies & weddings (and even champagne & china patterns) to discuss the most important thing happening right now.....The Western Conference Finals to see who is going to represent the "West" in the Stanley Cup Finals..... a few nights ago I attended Game 6 of the Blackhawks-Canuck's series with DJ and was elated at the outcome & Kane's Hat Trick:
Photo from my iPhone so I apologize for the fuzz...even those of you with poor eyes can probably see the Ice Girls (whatever those scantily clad women are called) scooping the hats off the ice. My joy however was short-lived because then my even more beloved Detroit Red Wings went on to conquer the (ridiculously named) Anaheim Ducks in Game 7:
Photo courtesy of The Errant Yachtsmen who attended the game & lived to brag about it. The outcome of this means you'll find me rooting against the Blackhawks for the next few games..... alas, such is the life!
Now you'll have to excuse me, our first wedding gift has arrived & I can't wait to open it!
(Oh wait. You want to know what it is? Well BISMOW & I received our very own Aalto Vase all the way from Finland!)
