The Election of a Lifetime

I realize that I am pretty young when it comes to politics and elections (heck this is only the 2nd presidential election that I have been old enough to vote in), but after many years of schooling and hearing stories from my parents and grandparents, I got a little emotional filling out this historic ballot today:

No matter what your polticial affiliation is, you can't deny the fact that this election is one of the most historic of our lifetimes. By this time next week there will either be an African American president elect or a female vice presidential elect, and that is something that is truly remarkable seeing as how this is the first time our 200+ year old country.

If you haven't done so already and you are eligible to do so, please go vote. It doesn't matter what party you're with or who you support. Voting is one of the most important rights that we have as Americans and it is something that should not be taken for granted.
