Refugee camp in Calgary

A mock refugee camp was set up in downtown Calgary last month. Canada is already one of the more generous asylum granting countries in the world. Unfortunately, millions continue to be uprooted by war and instability. A number of elementary school students were there as well and I'm sure the set up helped in their understanding the plight of the unfortunate. Personally, helping a refugee obtain status in this country is very rewarding considering the harsh situation in many parts of the world. Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless deviceIMG00015.jpg
