Texas carried out its fourth execution of 2009, last night in Huntsville; the 427th in the state since 1982.  It was the sixth execution in the nation this year; the 1,142nd execution in the nation since executions resumed in 1977.The Brazosport Facts reports, "Convicted killer put to death in Huntsville."Another Texas execution is scheduled for this evening.  According to TDCJ, an additional eight execution dates are already set in February, March, and April.  More execution dates are expected to be added in the coming months.  Capital Defense Weekly notes execution dates set in other states.
