#BernieMadoff's Blind Eyes Meet Bloomberg

ADVERTISEMENTS

Unless you're blind, or have a blind eye, I'm guessing that I've got your attention now?  Actually, no doubt my time with Diana Henriques is what inspired you to come back for more.

If half of you dimwits (you know who you are) had paid any attention to my erotic pal Erin Arvedlund for the past two years, Diana wouldn't have gotten the scoop, which is actually softer than a melted Baskin & Robbins cone (not to be confused with Sonny or Marcia Cohn!).

Of course people had blind eyes.  What? It takes a f**king rocket scientist to figure that out? You moron lawyers with terms like "willfull blindness" and jabber talking on TV to "comment" about the interview. Get a f**king job!  I only had to default to Diana after it became clear that Erin simply doesn't have the gravitas, even if she deserves a Pulitzer for book.  That's right, scroll to the right, then down, and you can buy it!

And, while we're on the subject of willful blindness...I'm not sure what "journalists" and "editors" call it, but since I've got 24/7 access to the Internet (yes, Dara-I'm special and I get access; but not every federal inmate does!), .....after seeing that hatchet job of a story by Bloomberg's people with the title "Madoff Prison Meeting Never Happened Says Picard.."..let me straighten you morons out., and allow me to re-publish the email sent to "Reporter" Bob Van Voris and his editor John Pickering over at Bloomberg:

In all due respect?not sure if it was a non-English speaking Bloomberg intern from  Egypt that suggested the ?gotcha NY Times for carrying a false report..?, but even the quasi-moto journalist ?Fake Bernie Madoff ? interpreted the NY Times story the way it was intended..(i.e. the communication between Madoff and Picard was conducted via intermediaries)

Even a cynic about current journalism would decipher the following the same way;  that Picard was merely the beneficiary of the communications..

?In the interview and e-mails, he also claimed he had been helping the court-appointed trustee who is seeking to recover lost billions on behalf of his swindled clients. In e-mails, Mr. Madoff said repeatedly that he provided useful information to Irving H. Picard, the trustee trying to recover assets for the fraud victims. His lawyers met with Mr. Picard?s team over four days last summer, he said.

Why Bloomberg LP of all outlets would stoop to the level of challenging a competitor?s journalist ethics is scary. Its one thing for Picard to have missed the nuances of modern journalism i.e. ?lead with a punch and close with a kiss..?, but for Bloomberg to serve as a vassal and challenge the credibility of the NY Times article, which was pretty, if not perfectly clear,  is beyond me ?you guys know that I?m a devoted reader of Bloomberg! Shame shame!
